Our Process
At HD Russell Boots & Shoes we combine experienced craftsmanship with the finest leathers to create heritage quality Goodyear Welted footwear in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Full grain leather is sourced from the prestigious Horween tannery for the majority of our leather uppers.
Vegetable-tanned leather is used for the insoles and midsole.
A layer of cork is added for comfort and its ability to mold to your feet over time.
A leather counter is used to reinforce the heel & maintain integrity while allowing for the heel to bend and mold to the movement of your feet.
Every boot and shoe is hand-lasted and Goodyear Welted by hand.
We offer a choice of rubber outsoles - select from leather Topy to Dr. Sole & Vibram
Our footwear is constructed by artisans and craftspeople who have decades of experience in designing and making quality leather footwear.
